Blackpool Pleasure Beach Name NEW 2026 Ride.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach have named their upcoming NEW ride, set to take the spot of their former Bowladrome arcade in 2026!

Project 2026, revealed by the park in March of this year was confirmed to be Pleasure Beach’s rumoured Intamin Gyro Swing – set to be the LARGEST of it’s kind here in the UK once open.

In a follow up announcement today (Tuesday 20th May) the park finally revealed their chosen name and it’s fair to say it’s left us scratching our heads as to what shape the theme of this new ride will take.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s NEW 2026 ride will take the space of the park’s former Bowladrome building once open next year.

Aviktas, as the ride will now be known will stand at 138 ft tall and is set to change the park’s skyline forever next year.

Along with this a stylised logo featuring green and gold letting and a golden serpent behind it has also been revealed teasing a very modern aesthetic overall.

Speaking about today’s name reveal, Amanda Thompson OBECEO of Pleasure Beach Resort stated;

 “We’re incredibly excited to reveal the name of our next major attraction, Aviktas. This is a ride like nothing we’ve ever created before, and while we’re keeping the full experience under wraps for now, I can promise it will be truly extraordinary.

“We’ll be revealing pieces of information about Aviktas over the next few months, including its theming, colours and design, and we’ve added a dedicated section to our website where fans can follow its journey.

“After all, what’s a new ride launch without a little bit of mystery?”

Aviktas will swing 120 degrees, seat up to 40 riders per cycle and will be nearly double the height of the UK’s current only Intamin Gyro Swing Maelstrom at Drayton Manor which stands at just 74 ft tall.

The suspended seating position on the ride’s circular gondola will also mean that those brave enough to experience Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s latest new ride will feel intense moments of weightlessness at the top of each and every swing.

Further details surrounding what we can expect from Aviktas will drop over the coming months, but for now it’s fair to say we’re EXTREMELY excited to watch the park’s latest new adrenaline fueled attraction come to life over the rest of this year and beyond!
