Alton Towers’ NEW Ride Begins To Arrive

Alton Towers‘ NEW Ride has begun to arrive at the park ahead of it’s installation inside the resort’s dedicated IP themed childrens land – CBeebies Land.

The new ride, which is now confirmed to be themed to the popular childrens TV character Bluey will open at Alton Towers Resort in 2026.

In recent photos discovered online we’ve got our first glimpse at the new ride’s colour scheme and it’s safe to say to not what many were expecting.

Given the character’s name and colour pallet it was expected that the new ride would infact sport blue track and supports, but as we can see in the above images this isn’t the case.

In the original promotional artwork released by Alton Towers Resort earlier this year announcing the ride the colours depicted were infact green track and yellow supports, but again although this is mostly accurate, the supports themselves are actually green too.

So, why choose to colour a ride based on a BLUE childrens TV character with the name Bluey green? There are many theories, but the most likely is versitility and longevity.

As we know, rides don’t always sport the same IP indefinitely, and given the green track and supports it would make retheming the ride at a later stage much easier to do.

It could also be down to the ride’s colour pallet being part of theme too as the coaster could most likely see riders board inside ‘Bluey’s house’ before making their way out into the ‘garden’ (this was a theory suggested online by one of our followers).

The ride itself is a ZIERER Force coaster, the same type of ride currently being built as part of Chessington World of Adventures’ upcoming PAW Patrol themed land.

This means that the ride will be perfectly suited to it’s target audience of 5 years old and under (as per CBeebies Land’s default target audience).

An opening date for Alton Towers’ new ride has yet to be announced, however given the resort’s previous record of opening new rides on their opening day it’s highly likely this could also happen, but any confirmation of this has yet to be offered.

Here’s a look at the original promotional artwork for Alton Towers’ new ride showing the attraction’s proposed colour pallet.
