JUMANJI IP Themed Land "World of Jumanji" Confirmed for Chessington World of Adventures in 2023!
Jumanji is set to unleash it’s full power on unsuspecting thrill seekers and families alike next year!!
Chessington World of Adventures (known for such rides as The Vampire and Tomb Blaster) is set to welcome a BRAND NEW, authentic movie IP land for it’s 2023 season.
The World of Jumanji will encompass a highly detailed, immersive experience encapsulating the very best of the popular family movie franchise in one intricately themed area.
Upon revealing the plans, it was heavily speculated that the new area would feature this highly prestigious movie link, however up until now no official confirmation has yet been provided.
The World of Jumanji comes in at a staggering cost of $20.5 million and will be the UK’s FIRST EVER official Jumanji attraction/land upon opening next year.
The brand new addition opens as part of an ongoing global exclusivity deal between Columbia Pictures Location Based Entertainment and Merlin Entertainments.
The land’s centerpiece (The iconic Jaguar Shrine from the second Jumanji Film – Juamnji: Welcome to the Jungle) will dominate the heart of the new land standing at a total height of 55ft and will be the focal point for the land’s headline roller coaster (of which full details are still yet TBC).
Talking about the new development, Tm Harrison-Jones (Divisional Director for CWOA) has said;
“What could be more exciting than bringing the global hit Jumanji film franchise to life within the single largest development Chessington has ever seen. We know what it takes to create the ultimate adventure for our guests, spread over 128 acres the Resort already delivers surprises around everyone corner with over 40 wild rides and attractions, zoo with over 1,000 majestic animals and two themed hotels, plus glamping!”
Full details surrounding the areas other rides and attractions are still also to be revealed and Chessington have advised that all will become clear in the coming months!
