Six Flags Over Texas’ New Ride Reaches New Heights!

Six Flags Over Texas‘ new ride has reaches new heights in it’s construction journey as the towering lift hill for the ride reaches it’s peak.

Tormenta: Rampaging Run is the brand new, multi-record breaking B&M Dive Coaster coming to Six Flags Over Texas in 2026.

The ambitious new roller coaster won’t just be the tallest of it’s kind anywhere worldwide, but will also be the fastest, the steepest and will feature some pretty impressive elements to boot.

In recent images shared by Facebook user Bogle_Head the sheer scale of the ride’s gigantic 94 metre (309ft) tall lift hill is very apparent.

Tormenta: Rampaging Run will reach heights of up to 309ft, speeds of up to 87 mph, span a total length of 4,199ft from beginning to end and will also feature the world’s tallest Immelmann loop at a whopping 218ft tall as well as the world’s tallest vertical loop at 179ft too.

Six Flags Over Texas also unveiled the ride’s zero car at the recent annual IAAPA Expo in Florida too confirming the ride’s floorless nature, a standard feature with all rides of this kind nowadays.

Not only has this gigantic lift hill become the tallest point of any ride in the park, but it’s also visibly changed the park’s skyline forever too with the structure now visible to those passing by outside the park.

Six Flags Over Texas’ new ride replaces former attractions La Vibora and El Diablo and will intergrate into the park’s Spain area which is currently undergoing significant rennovation in time for Tormenta’s opening next year.

The Dive Coaster also seems to have made quite the resurgence over the past few years too with quite a few different Six Flags parks introducing them into their line ups.

No official opening date has yet been set for Six Flags Over Texas’ new ride, but with construction of the ride progressing as quickly as it currently is we’d expect to see Tormenta: Rampaging Run complete and ready to test by early 2026.
