Pleasure Beach Resort To Relaunch Ice Blast In 2025!

Pleasure Beach Resort are set to relaunch Ice Blast in 2025! Over the past 12 months the ride has undergone a significant overhaul repairing and replacing ride parts in readiness to delivering an even more thrilling ride experience in 2025!

The iconic S&S Worldwide Shot tower which first opened at the park back in 1997 has sported two different themes in it’s lifetime, but it’s third is set to be it’s most iconic yet.

Launch Pad as the ride will now be known invites those brave enough to step aboard and take their seats as they prepare to launch skyward at speeds of up to 80 mph and heights of up to 210 ft!

In readiness for it’s relaunch, Ice Blast has received a brand new cylinder meaning that the riders can now expect a much more forceful ride experience when it relaunches next year.

Speaking about the ride’s new upgrade, Karl Murphy – director of engineering at Pleasure Beach Resort has said;

“A new cylinder might not sound much on paper, but it will make a huge difference in terms of the ride experience. Riders can expect to feel their stomachs drop to the floor with the increased force, and experience epic moments of weightlessness.”

“That, coupled with Launch Pad’s re-theming, makes for a very thrilling new era indeed.”

Commenting further on Launch Pad’s introduction to the park, Amanda Thompson OBE – CEO of Pleasure Beach Resort stated;

“Earlier this year we announced that we are focusing on constantly evolving and renewing our ride offering, and confirmed our intention to make some exciting announcements in the future.”

“The new era of Launch Pad is only the first, and we’re looking forward to everything the future holds at Pleasure Beach Resort.”

With Grand Prix also now leaving the park and the introduction of a brand new Intamin Gyro Swing looming closely on the horizon too it’s safe to say that Pleasure Beach Resort are only just getting started where delivering new and exciting ride experiences is concerned.

Launch Pad is expected to be ready for guests to experience when Pleasure Beach Resort reopens for it’s main 2025 season on Saturday March 2nd, however Nickelodeon Land is set to open ealier on Saturday February 15th meaning younger guests can visit ahead of the park’s main season at a reduced cost of £25.00 per person.
