Maurer Rides Reveal Crazy New Coaster Concept!
Maurer Rides have unveiled a truly CRAZY looking new roller coaster concept!
The Maurer Rides Spike Coaster – first unveiled earlier this year combines their existing powered single rail concept with some truly game changing layout designs all aimed at reaching height within a minimal footprint.
Although the German ride manufacturer has already unveiled two very daring designs for the Spike Coaster, their latest concept is by far their most wacky and outlandish yet.
The Maurer Rides Spike ‘Shamrock’ takes on a very literal approach when it comes to the design’s chosen name and features 3 HUGE inversions all culminating in layout that directly resembles it’s name.
Describing it’s Shamrock Spike coaster to prospective buyers, Maurer Rides state;
“Spike ASM Launch turns the coolest ideas into one of a kind experiences. The Shamrock is a remarkable landmark that will captivate even the most dedicated coaster enthusiast. Three interconnected inversions create the unique ☘ ride element, which will surely be one of the most eye-catching attractions ever realized on roller coasters of this size.
This launch coaster features seven inversions that seamlessly alternate with thrilling airtime moments. Despite being only 650 meters long, the coaster delivers an unparalleled ride experience, making it a major attraction for any park.”
In truth, the ride design definitely feels like something straight out the popular theme park video game Planet Coaster, however this ride is certainly not made up!
The Maurer Rides Spike Shamrock can also reach speeds of up to 65 Km/H, run 3 ride trains at any one time and can seat up to 1,000 riders per hour.
The previous two Spike Coaster designs revealed earlier this year by the manufacturer also feature the same crazy, outside the box looks but don’t quite match the craziness of the Shamrock design in our opinion.
Other Spike Coaster designs include the Spike KrakeX (a design inspired by the popular mythical sea beast The Kraken) & the Spike Giant-8-Loop (featuring a yes, you guessed it, figure of 8 double loop design).
It’s definitely clear that when it comes to creating eye catching and imaginative ride designs Maurer Rides are definitely not thinking along one track (yes we did) and as such we can’t wait to see what the manufacturer comes up with in the years ahead.
