LEGOLAND Shanghai Resort Concept Model Revealed - And It's Made Out Of LEGO!!

LEGOLAND Shanghai Resort’s official concept model has just been revealed – and it’s made entirely out of LEGO!!

The inventive concept model was recently revealed by the upcoming resort’s Art Director Xiao Bao at the 5th China International Import Expo.

The creative LEGO model gave a fantastic ‘first look’ and what visitor’s can expect from the new park and was built with a total of nearly 100,000 LEGO bricks.

LEGOLAND Shanghai Resort is projected to open by mid 2023 and comes in at a total cost of nearly $625 Million USD.

Alongside plenty of LEGO IP themed rides and attractions the BRAND NEW resort is also said to feature a highly themed 250 room onsite hotel.

Construction on the park originally began back in November of 2021 and as such is believed to be going strong as builders aim towards their 2023 deadline.

LEGOLAND Shanghai Resort is set to be located in Fengjing town, Jinshan District of Shanghai, China and will cover a total footprint of 31.8 hectares overall.

The park will also be the first to feature a fully themed land dedicated to the classic Chinese novel the ‘Monkey King’.

The new Monkie Kid zone is centered around the 500 year old Chinese legend and is designed to connect children aged between the ages of 2 and 12 with their heritage along with their families.

Overall, LEGOLAND Shanghai Resort will make a great new addition to Merlin Entertainments ever expanding portfolio of LEGO IP parks and resorts and will help deliver the LEGO brand to a whole new audience in an imaginative new way.
