From bottles to BIG Thrills! Coca-Cola have announced a partnership with Merlin Entertainments which offers guests the chance to win themselves some VIP fun!
Coca-Cola and Merlin have revealed they’re making sustainability fun and rewarding this Summer by offering families the chance to bag themselves VIP experiences.
The returning initiative (which is into it’s 4th year this year) aims to encourage guests to be more responsible when disposing of their plastic bottles and Merlin Entertainments many different UK based theme parks and attractions.
To do this families can take their empty 500ml plastic bottles and recycle them at one of the many ‘reverse vending machines’ dotted throughout Merlin’s UK attractions.
By doing this they’ll be automatically entered a draw where they’ll have the chance to win some truly unforgettable experiences
The partnership continues Coca-Cola’s ongoing relationship with Merlin Entertainments, which has seen over 175,000 plastic bottles collected via the reverse vending machines since they were first introduced.
This year, the campaign will be bigger than ever. Recycling champions could be in with a chance of winning VIP prizes at Cadbury World, including a delightful Cadbury Character Afternoon Tea, adding an extra layer of excitement to this year’s offerings.
This new location builds on the incredible list of Merlin Attractions where visitors can win big again, as well as doing their bit for the environment.
12 Merlin Attractions will be providing prizes for lucky winners to enjoy, such as a VIP experience and behind the scenes tour in Sharkbait Reef at Alton Towers Resort, a VIP Giraffe Encounter at Chessington World of Adventures Resort, a Snorkelling with Sharks Experience at SEA LIFE Blackpool, plus conquering the 127ft climb of one of the UK’s tallest roller-coasters, The Swarm at Thorpe Park.
Families and friends across the UK will have access to these brilliant prizes by recycling one 500ml drink and will get the chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime prize.

When & Where Can I Enter?
So, the main question then – when can you enter and what are the terms and conditions? Here’s what we understand…
Those visiting any of Merlin Entertainments’ 12 different UK based attractions will have the chance to recycle and at any of the 30 different reverse vending machines located throughout their attraction portfolio.
You can do this between 01st July and the 07th September and locations available to recycle are as follows;

- Alton Towers Resort
- Chessington World of Adventures Resort
- LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Birmingham
- LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort
- SEA LIFE aquariums in Blackpool, Birmingham, Brighton and London
- The Blackpool Tower
- Thorpe Park
- Warwick Castle
To find a machine please speak to a member of staff and they will happily point you in the right direction.
When recycling your 500ml bottle the machine you’re using will generate a receipt with a link on. Follow this link and enter the competition by 07th September and you could very well end up bagging yourself some unique, VIP fun in the process! CLICK HERE for full T&C’s.
