Europa Park Share Exciting NEW Ride Details!
Europa Park have shared NEW details about their new ride set to open at the Germany based family theme park later this spring!
The new dark ride themed to an upcoming animated feature film named Grand Prix of Europe, will join the park’s iconic mascots Ed & Edda as they take a high octane, speed driven adventure across Europe’s world of Grand Prix racing.
Grand Prix EDventure (as the new attraction will be known) is set to be the first of it’s kind to open at any theme park too utilising MACK Ride’s latest, interactive innovation – the “Gameplay Theatre”!
After revealing the first tantilising taster about their upcoming new 2025 dark ride earlier this year, Europa Park proceeded to drop even more details this morning (Thursday 06th March 2025) giving fans of the park their first taste as to what lies instore for them when Grand Prix EDventure opens this season.
As well as Europa Park revealing further details, Michael Mack – CEO of MACK One & Europa Park also took to X to share his thoughts on their new 2025 addition;
“The finish line is in sight – literally! Excited to share this new look at our new Europa-Park attraction GRAND PRIX EDventure, coming to life thanks to the incredible teamwork across the MACK Group. Can’t wait to see our guests’ reactions when the race finally begins!”
Europa Park’s latest new ride (the first to open following the opening of the park’s highly acclaimed MACK Rides Stryker roller coaster aka. Voltron Nevera Powered By RIMAC) will revolutionise the interactive dark ride experience creating a 6 minute long, interactive ride experience in a minimal footprint.
Grand Prix EDventure will also be a 3D dark ride, feature 10 immersive scenes, 18 dynamic ride vehicles and will be perfect for younger and older guests alike with a recommended age of just 3+.
Along with the new information Europa Park also unveiled some exciting new, colourful promotional artwork for the ride too giving fans their FIRST LOOK at how the ride vehicles and interactive laser guns will look once installed.
Europa Park’s new ride won’t be the only ride of this kind opening at a theme park worldwide this year though.
As we know, Paultons Park (a family theme park based near Southampton in the UK) is set to open Ghost Manor on May 17th. Their latest new attraction won’t only be their FIRST EVER dark ride, but also the second Mack Rides Gameplay Theatre to open in 2025.
It was initially speculated that Ghostly Manor could infact end up being the first of it’s kind to open worldwide, however today’s announcement seems to confirm Europa Park’s intentions to open their first instead.
Regardless, Europa Park’s new ride looks set to be the perfect, family friendly new dark ride for the park and will cater to families with small children and older children alike once open.
