Drayton Manor's NEW Ride Opens SOON!!
Drayton Manor Resort have announced the official opening date for their BRAND NEW ride and we don’t have too much longer to wait!
Gold Rush – Drayton Manor’s NEW Intamin family lift & launch roller coaster is set to open to the public just in time for the school Summer Holidays.
In an official reveal this morning on their social media, Drayton Manor have confirmed that guests can finally experience their exciting new ride from Friday 26th July 2024.
In an accompanying release Drayton Manor have also confirmed more about what those brave enough to ride can expect from this “world’s first” roller coaster later this month.
This exciting new ride is set to be the first roller coaster anywhere in the world to TWO unique, multi-directional experiences.
Gold Rush will also feature the UK’s first backwards launch into an “outdoor gravity track” – we’re not 100% on what this is but we can’t wait to find out.
On top of all this Drayton Manor’s brand new ride will also feature a 1 meter height restriction and the longest track length of any UK family roller coaster currently out there sporting a total ride duration of two minutes from beginning to end!
In an official statement, Victoria Lynn – Drayton Manor Resort’s MD says;
“We’ve been so excited to share the full extent of our new Wild West-themed land since the opening of Frontier Falls this spring. The arrival of Gold Rush plays a key part in our biggest year yet, promising a unique experience unlike anything our guests have experienced before. We can’t wait to see what our visitors think of it this summer!”
Here at Theme Park Insanity we honestly couldn’t be more excited to FINALLY experience Drayton Manor’s new ride for ourselves.
As such, we fully plan on being there for Gold Rush’s official opening and we can’t wait to share all of our thoughts and first reactions to the new ride with you all in the weeks ahead!
