Cedar Point Announce NEW Record Breaking Coaster For Summer 2025!
Cedar Point have announced the arrival of a record breaking new coaster for Summer 2025 and it’s set to be quite the new addition!
Siren’s Curse – a record breaking new roller coaster designed and built by Vekoma Rides is set to be tallest & longest of it’s kind anywhere in North America once open.
The new ride will also be the second of it’s kind to open in North America too with the first currently under construction at COTAland at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, TX.
Siren’s Curse will reach heights of up to 160 ft, speeds of up to 58 mph and span 2,966 ft from beginning to end.
With today’s announcement came a full set of concept images for Cedar Point’s new coaster as well as an animated concept video showing the ride in action.
Talking about Cedar Point’s record breaking new roller coaster, Carrie Boldman – vice president and general manager of Cedar Point said;
“Record-breaking thrills have always been at the heart of Cedar Point’s roller coaster lineup, and Siren’s Curse lives up to that standard,”
“The entire ride is an experience filled with non-stop action, but that first precarious tilted position where you’re hanging on – looking straight down – and waiting for the track to connect will be a signature moment our fans will love. It’s a first-of-its kind for Cedar Point and we’re thrilled to bring it to our guests.”
With the addition of Siren’s Curse the Sandusky based amusement park will play home to 19 operational roller coasters in total – a number currently matched by Energylandia in Poland.
Existing headline roller coasters at Cedar Point include Millennium Force, Magnum XL 200, Maverick and Steel Vengeance.
Top Thrill 2 is also set to reopen in 2025 too after suffering a prolonged closure shortly after opening earlier this year due to technical difficulties.
Siren’s Curse will be located across from Iron Dragon and near to the Cedar Point Marina. The new ride will also feature a height restriction of 48″ (1.22 cm) making it more accessible to younger visitors.
