TOUTATIS Officially Opens To The Public At PARC ASTÉRIX!
Toutatis – Parc Astérix’s BRAND NEW Intamin Blitz roller coaster has officially opened to the public TODAY (Saturday April 8th 2023).
The exciting new ride makes up the star attraction in the French park’s immersive new land Le Festival Toutatis!
Le Festival Toutatis comprises of Parc Astérix’s new signature multi-launched roller coaster, a brand new Zamperla Nebulaz & the park’s BIGGEST outdoor adventure playground to date.
Le Festival Toutatis also features a brand new restaurant and gift shop too making it one of Parc Astérix’s most impressive new additions to date.
Toutatis – the star attraction has been compared by many to Pantheon – Busch Gardens Williamsburg’s Intamin Blitz coaster, and it’s very easy to see why.
The layout itself seems very reminiscent of Pantheon and builds speed in a fairly similar way too, featuring a swing launch before propelling riders around the rest of the layout.
Toutatis also features a Zero-G stall and traverses it’s track in a fairly similar fashion.
First reactions to Toutatis do however seem to have been pretty fantastic overall with many claiming it to be one of Europe’s best new roller coasters in recent times.
The exhilarating new ride reaches speeds of up to 66.7 mph, heights of up to 167.3 ft and lasts a total of 2 minutes and 3 seconds as a whole as well as featuring 23 airtime moments.
This year also see’s the opening of BATMAN: Gotham City Escape at Parque Warner – dubbed Europe’s very own VelociCoaster.
With this in mind it will be interesting to see just how well Toutatis stacks up against Gotham City Escape when Parque Warner finally open their exciting new ride to the public this Summer.
