TOM & STACE Join Us For A Chat!
Since first establishing their channel back in 2018, dynamic vlogging duo Tom & Stace have continued to wow, thrill and entertain us all with each and every new video they’ve created.
Over the years Tom & Stace have journeyed far and wide managing to explore a whole host different places including everything from some of the world’s most well loved theme parks to unusual attractions, incredible funfairs and so much more.
Orlando Florida, Forbidden Corner and Silver Dollar City are just some of the places they have managed to visit over the years, however no matter the location, the couple never cease to entertain us.
In recent years the couple have also welcome a four legged furry addition to their family, however this hasn’t deterred them from expanding their horizons as they continue to search for their next big thrill.
To date, Tom & Stace’s ever growing channel has surpassed some pretty major landmarks including 5,000 subscribers and over 1 million views to name but a few!
Having been huge fans of the channel for many years ourselves, we were beyond thrilled when Tom & Stace recently agreed to join TPI for a chat and shed light on everything from how the channel first came to be to future plans for the channel & so much more!
Here’s how things went down…………………………
Who are Tom & Stace?
We are a vlogging couple who love to share our adventures from around the world, including visits to theme parks, tourist attractions, fun fairs, scare events and more!
How did you both first meet?
We actually met through Tinder, nearly eight years ago now!
What first inspired you both to become content creators?
Stacy had always been in to theme parks and roller coasters, and when we first met, we would watch YouTube channels such as Theme Park Worldwide.
After attending one of their meet ups in 2016 (which seems a lifetime ago now!), we became good friends with Andy from Coaster Crazy.
After appearing in quite a few of his vlogs, we had a California trip coming up, and thought we’d give it a go ourselves!
What inspires you to create the content you do?
The main reason for our vlogging is to capture memories, so that we always have them to look back on.
The fact that people actually watch them is just a bonus!
Some of our favourite videos aren’t actually even theme park related – our first home tour, our engagement at the Lake District, and the day we collected our puppy Cali will always be extra special to us.
Are there any specific types of content you enjoy creating most?
Which theme park takes your top spot and why?
Universal’s Islands Of Adventure, without a doubt!
Especially since our recent visit. It is home to our number one roller coaster (Velocicoaster), world class dark rides, and exceptional themeing everywhere you look.
What challenges have you faced as content creators over the years?
Nothing major really. Copyright strikes on YouTube sometimes can be a pain.
Forgetting to charge enough batteries for the camera has happened once or twice too! At the end of the day though it’s just a hobby for us – so if anything does go wrong, we just laugh about it.
Do you have any other passions in life aside from visiting theme parks and attractions?
We both love hiking (especially in the Lake District), and have actually created a few hiking style vlogs.
We also enjoy going to the cinema and the gym in our free time. And of course, we love playing with our puppy Cali.
How would you say your approach to creating content has changed over the years?
In the beginning, we tried to upload a YouTube video at least once a week.
After a while, for various reasons it became apparent that this just wasn’t possible.
We now upload as and when we can (usually on a Sunday morning at 10am), and aim for quality over quantity.
What are your plans for the new year?
Nothing planned yet – as we’ve just returned from Florida, it will most likely be a quiet few weeks before the 2023 season starts!
What does the future look like for Tom & Stace?
We would like to give HUGE thanks to Tom & Stace for agreeing to join us and for providing us all with this fantastic insight!
One thing’s for sure – if past years are anything to go by, then 2023 will surely be even BIGGER and BETTER than ever!!
