Merlin Entertainments To Open TWO New Indoor Coasters In 2026!
Merlin Entertainments have revealed they plan to open TWO new indoor roller coasters in 2026! The new LEGO themed roller coasters will open in North America next year as part of a £70 million investment by the global attractions operator.
LEGOland Florida & LEGOland California will both receive NEW space themed indoor roller coasters for 2026.
The new rides are said to offer an “out-of-this-world experience for families and LEGO® fans alike” and form part of Merlin Entertainments’ ongoing mission to offer world class rides and attractions at their theme parks worldwide.
The introduction of the two new roller coasters are also said to represent the company’s LARGEST single investment into the two parks to date building on their already strong relationship with the LEGO family.
The two new indoor coasters are currently slated to open at the parks in early 2026, however LEGOland Florida and LEGOland California aren’t the only ones to be opening indoor coasters in the next two years across Merlin Entertainment’s global theme park portfolio.
A new Minecraft themed indoor coaster will also open at Chessington World of Adventures Resort here in the UK too for 2027 as part of the park’s NEW Minecraft themed land.
Chessington’s new indoor coaster will not only be the first ride of it’s kind to open worldwide but will also be part of the world’s first ever Minecraft themed land at any theme park worldwide too.
With all of this being said though there are many who currently feel Merlin Entertainments aren’t paying enough attention to their UK audience with a lot of their UK based theme parks noticably struggling in recent times due to ongoing cuts by the company and a lack of investment overall.
That aside though LEGOland Florida and California’s two new indoor roller coasters do look pretty cool if recent concept is anything to go by and the space theme is a nice touch too.
