London Eye Marks 25 Years With NEW Look!
London Eye have today marked their 25th anniversary with a stylish NEW look. The iconic observation wheel (aka. The Millennium Wheel) first opened on London’s South Bank outside County Hall on 31st December 1999 at the turn of the new millennium (hence the name).
Today London Eye has marked this most auspicious occasion by launching a stylish, re-imagined new look bringing the attraction’s branding in line with current trends marking an end of Lastminute.com’s ongoing sponsorship too.
Over the past 25 years London’s famous ‘Big Wheel’ has welcomed millions of guests taking them high above the UK’s capital for a birds eye view of the surrounding city and it’s many different landmarks.

Along with today’s reveal, The London Eye also stated “25 and feeling fine. We’ve never looked better” bringing a real sense of positive confidence to the attraction and their future.
The London Eye was only original intended to stay open for a couple of years, however the ride’s popularity has meant that the decision was taken to make it a permanent feature for guests to enjoy over the years that followed.
Construction of the observation wheel first began in 1998. The wheel stands at an incredible 135 meters (443 feet) tall and cost £70 Million to build.
Since it’s opening the attraction also plays host to London’s annual New Year’s Eve fireworks spectacular providing a visual spectacle each and every year to thousands of onlookers!!
Today though (Monday 3rd March 2025), London Eye marked their 25th anniversary by unveiling the following new official logo!

The above new logo seems to capture the purpose of the London Eye perfectly & It also features a playful nod to the attraction’s name too with the outline of the wheel being the pupil of an eye.
The new look also reflects the ride’s purpose too with those who ride it choosing to do so in order to take in the views from the top.
Overall, London Eye’s new logo is simplistic, effective and a BIG step up from the attraction’s former look which felt much less imaginative and unique.
