Georgia Surfer Is Coming To Six Flags Over Georgia This Summer!

Georgia Surfer is coming to Six Flags Over Georgia in Austell, Georgia this Summer.

Six Flags Over Georgia officially announced the innovative new addition via their social media this evening (Wednesday 31st January 2024).

The park’s exciting new Ultra Surf Coaster manufactured by Swiss ride manufacturers Intamin will be the first of it’s kind to open at any park worldwide.

Georgia Surfer will reach eye watering heights of up to 144 ft, speeds of up to 60 mph and span a total length of 590 ft from one end to the other, but that’s not all.

Those brave enough will also be spun as they rocket backwards and forwards across the Surf Coaster’s tracks before taking the plunge in the ride’s scenic splash pad.

Georgia Surfer takes the design of the traditional Intamin Power Splash and evolves it to create a free spinning, surf style experience.

Six Flags Over Georgia currently plays host to 12 other roller coasters and 3 water rides. Georgia Surfer will  combine the thrills of riding a roller coaster with the refreshing elements usually expected of a water ride.

An exact opening date for Georgia Surfer is still yet to be set, however it’s expected that the ride should be open for the park’s Summer season given the announced opening of Summer 2024.
