Flamingo Land Open NEW 2025 Addition!

Flamingo Land open NEW 2025 addition. In recent BREAKING NEWS from North Yorkshire based family theme park and resort Flamingo Land Resort the park have unveiled their latest new addition to the park.

Lion Coast – the former area of the park known as Lost River since the attraction first opened in 2004 has been undergoing a major transformation as part of a newly created area incorporating both the lions and sealions into the same area of the park.

At the start of 2025 despite the amount of work carried out it looked ever more likely the newly reimagined ride and area would infact open in 2026 as opposed to this year, but a recent burst of progress both on the ride and the surrounding area itself has lead those visiting to believe we could still see the new version of the park’s giant flume ride reopen this year instead of next year.

In brand new photos shared to us by Flamingopics we can see the new sealion enclosure complete with viewing areas and theming is now accessible to the general puiblic.

The park’s resident sealions have also moved into their new home as well with the previous building officially reaching the end of it’s life with the park.

The new ride continues to receive significant progress too with both the trough, surrounding theming and final drop all now in place as well as completion of works inside the station building and ongoing works inside the two enclosed sections of the ride too.

Flamingo Land Resort themselves have however still yet to comment on the exact progress being made or any potential opening date for the new version of Lost River, but given the progress being made we don’t imagine it’ll be too much longer now before that does infact happen.

Works on the lion’s enclosure revamp still appears very much ongoing, but in our latest look we can now see that the site has been leveled out ready for the introduction of new turf and folliage.

We expect to see progress now focused on both the ride and lion enclsoure over the coming weeks with a possible opening date announcement towards the middle/end of August (purely speculation on our part based on recent progress).

The new lion enclosure is also set to feature a moated view of it’s roarsome residents too meaning those sailing past in boats on ‘Lost River’ (which we also now expect to be renamed Lion Coast) will get a much clearer view of the lions as they make their way up to the ride’s new, show stopping section.

It’s fair to say the continued rate of progress on Flamingo Land’s NEW 2025 addition is astonishing and we can’t wait to see this latest project reach completion in the very near future.
