Flamingo Land Resort Announce The Launch Of A BRAND NEW 'Zoo TV' Channel!
Flamingo Land Resort – North Yorkshire’s premier theme park resort & zoo have today announced the launch of a BRAND NEW ‘Zoo TV’ channel.
Flamingo Land’s Zoo TV will offer fans of the park the chance to gain exclusive insight into the zoo’s inner workings and ongoing conservation work carried out by the resort’s onsite zoo keepers.
The park’s first episode (which is now available to check out below) documents the zoo’s “once in a generation” efforts to move three of their threatened Rothschild giraffes – George,Lizzie & Mylene across the zoo to accommodate the arrival of a new breeding male name Albert.
Zoo TV will also offer insight into the ongoing challenges faced by Flamingo Land’s zoo keepers in their continued work to care for some of the world’s biggest and most unusual animals.
Flamingo Land have revealed that viewers can expect to enjoy monthly episodes on their newly created channel covering a full range of different topics and animals.
The new channel is also set to showcase the park’s many breeding programs as well their ongoing conservation project (named Udzungwa Forest Project – UFP) which is responsible for discovering new species of fauna and flora.
The conservation project also persuaded the Tanzanian government to annex Magombera Forest to become a protected area.
