Will Lightopia Return To Alton Towers This Christmas?

Earlier this year we received the sad news that the company responsible for bringing Lightopia to Alton Towers (and other venues nationwide) had sadly gone bankrupt.

This meant that alot the companies fixtures and sculptures were unfortunately left abandoned at the park without having anyone to collect them.

As such, it’s highly unlikely we will be seeing the return of Lightopia to Alton Towers this Christmas and as such today’s press release makes no mention of a lantern trail whatsoever.

All mentions of a lantern trail also seems to have been removed from the resort’s official website too despite some claiming to have seen it on there as recently as earlier this week.

It’s therefore safe to assume that Lightopia or indeed any kind of festive lantern trail is definitely not on the cards for those visiting this Christmas.

Lightopia will NOT return to Alton Towers Resort this festive season!
