Canada's Wonderland Announce AlpenFury!
Canada’s Wonderland have announced the name of their NEW for 2025 roller coaster – AlpenFury!
The brand new roller coaster set to combine fire and ice in a thrilling and exhilarating new way will open at the Ontario based theme park next year.
AlpenFury – a custom designed Premier Rides Sky Rocket will feature TWO LSM launches, reach speeds of up to 71.5 mph and heights of up to 164 ft!
The park’s thrilling new roller coaster will also feature 9 inversions throughout it’s 1 minute and 20 seconds of ride time too making AlpenFury one of the most inversion heavy ride experiences at Canada’s Wonderland!
In an official reveal this morning the park shared a first look at the proposed layout for the ride as well as AlpenFury’s official logo, the ride stats and more.
Along with a whole host of concept images and a concept video Canada’s Wonderland also stated the following;
“Face nature’s wrath on AlpenFury, Canada’s longest, tallest and fastest launch coaster.
This new ride takes thrill seekers into the heart of Wonder Mountain where fire and ice combine to blast the train vertical through the mountain’s summit, 50 metres into the sky.
Riders will race across tracks that span the park, reaching speeds of 115 km/h, flipping and twisting through nine breathtaking inversions.
This dual-launch coaster will be the park’s 19th roller coaster and the signature attraction in the new themed area called Alpenfest.”
Given the information revealed above it’s fair to say the park’s newest roller coaster will undoubtedly be one of their most significant coaster investments to date and will really help showcase what Premier Rides are capable of when it comes to developing innovative new rides and layouts.
An official opening date for AlpenFury and the new area Alpenfest is yet to be announced, however we’d imagine Spring of 2025 will be the most likely scenario given just how much work will be required to bring this groundbreaking new addition to the park!
