Alton Towers Crowned BEST UK Theme Park By Tripadvisor!
Alton Towers Resort has recently been crowned the UK’s BEST theme park by the users of popular travel review website Tripadvisor.
The announcement of the news dropped yesterday morning (26/06/2024) revealing the Staffordshire based family theme park and resort as the chosen choice by the platform’s users.
The park was awarded the title in this year’s Traveler’s Choice Best of the Best Awards 2024. It’s also been revealed that Alton Towers Resort has also ranked 8th worldwide too surpassing other iconic global destinations such as Disney’s Magic Kingdom & Universal Studios Japan.
2024 marks the second consecutive win for the resort and puts them within the top 1% of Tripadvisor’s listings for theme parks and attractions around the world.
Speaking about Alton Towers Resort’s recent win, Bianca Sammut – Regional Director for Alton Towers Resort said;

As well as winning the title of Best UK theme park Alton Towers Resort’s onsite accommodation and hotels has also received outstanding recognition from those have reviewed their stays online.
This has placed the resort’s current on site hotels and accommodation within the Top 10% of family friendly accommodation globally too.
Over the past three years Alton Towers Resort has continued to expand and improve on it’s family friendly offer by adding such additions as The Curse at Alton Manor (a re-imagining of the park’s existing haunted house ride) & Nemesis Reborn (a complete re-imagining of the park’s classic 1994 B&M Inverted roller coaster for the attraction’s 30th anniversary).
2024 has also seen the resort celebrate 10 years of their highly popular, family friendly area CBeebies Land which first opened at the park back in 2014.
The family friendly land aimed at those aged 5 and under features rides and attractions themed to popular children’s TV shows featured on the much loved children’s BBC channel.
These include Andy’s Dinosaur Dig, Hey Dugee Big Adventure Badge, JoJo & Gran Gran at Home and Octonauts Roller Coaster Adventure to name but a few.
