Age Defying Thrill Seekers Take On Drayton Manor!
A group of “age defying thrill seekers” were recently invited to take on Drayton Manor in celebration of the park’s upcoming 75th anniversary this year.
A group of special guests all over the age of 70 were invited to take on the park’s many thrilling rides and attractions as they relived the nostalgia of visiting Drayton Manor Resort during it’s 75 year life span to date.
Speaking about his experience Barry Moore, aged 75 commented;
“I first came to Drayton Manor as a schoolboy in the 1950’s. I’ve always loved going on the rides there and am pleased to say that I still do. As a family, we brought our kids here as they grew up and now we’re thrilled to share the experience with our grandkids. It’s the perfect place for creating lasting memories and enjoying a fantastic day of fun together across generations.”
Speaking further about this exciting landmark celebration, Victoria Lynn – Managing Director of Drayton Manor Resort went on to say;
“When we asked if there were any over 70’s who wanted to join in our celebrations, we couldn’t believe the number of people who wanted to be involved! It really does prove that age is just a number.
“As we celebrate our 75th anniversary this year, Drayton Manor continues to deliver epic family fun for all our guests. We have an incredible array of events and activities planned for this year, and we hope that everyone comes to be part of the fun and help make this the biggest year in the park’s history!”
Throughout 2025 Drayton Manor Resort will continue to mark it’s 75th year with an exciting array of special events, firework displays, live entertainment and so much more.
The park currently offers 50 exhilarating rides and attractions, the UK’s only Thomas Land and an onsite zoo playing home to 500 different animals from around the world.
Last year, Drayton Manor Resort also welcomed an exciting NEW, first of it’s kind roller coaster to the park too with the opening of Gold Rush – the world’s FIRST Intamin family lift and launch roller coaster themed to a gold mine as part of the park’s latest new themed land Frontier Falls!

Drayton Manor Resort is set to welcome guests back for another action packed season of family friendly fun and thrills later this month with their NEW for 2025 “Great Reset” day on Saturday March 29th.
2025 at Drayton Manor will also be another chance for families to head back and get on all of their favourite rides and attractions including the recent refurbished Shockwave roller coaster now known as The Wave!
