Dollywood’s NEW Ride Is Set To Be A Game Changer!
Dollywood‘s NEW ride is set to be a game changer once open, so, we thought we’d collate EVERYTHING we know so far about what we can expect once it does!
NightFlight Expedition, Dollywood’s NEW 2026 ride will expand on the park’s already popular Wildwood grove area and will be a “groundbreaking hybrid coaster and whitewater river ride”.
The new ride’s storyline see’s Cora and Jasper Oakley leading guests on an expedition to discover the mystery of the legendary Secret Lake.
“Expanding on Dollywood’s Wildwood Grove, NightFlight Expedition is a groundbreaking hybrid coaster and whitewater river ride with Cora and Jasper Oakley leading you on an extraordinary journey to discover the mystery of the legendary Secret Lake.”
“Embarking on a daring journey aboard remarkable vehicles, adventurers will experience four thrilling experiences in a first-of-its-kind attraction as they fly through the Smokies, conquer raging rapids, climb mountain peaks and glide across a shimmering lake. Follow the roots and light the way!”
NightFlight Expedition is set to span a total length of 1255 ft (nearly a quarter of a mile), reach speeds of up to 29 MPH, reach 3 storeys in height and last a total duration of 5 minutes 30 seconds from beginning to end making it one of the longest ride experiences on park.
The groundbreaking new attraction is also set to be completely enclosed inside a giant 160,000 square foot show building (that’s larger than four football fields) too meaning those riding won’t be affected by the outside climate.
NightFlight Expedition joins 12 other popular rides and attractions in Wildwood Grove too and will be perfect for younger guests with a minimum height requirement of just 39 inches (0.99 metres).
It’s safe to say Dollywood’s latest new attraction will wow and thrill all who dare to step aboard and we can’t wait to find out more about NightFlight Expedition as the project continues to progress.
