LUNA Begins Test Runs At Liseberg In Sweden.
LUNA – Liseberg‘s BRAND NEW 2023 Vekoma Family Boomerang Roller Coaster has begun test runs today.
The park shared updates across their social media channels featuring images of the ride making it’s first test runs this afternoon (01/03/2023).
The new roller coaster, which is set to be both the tallest and fastest of it’s kind anywhere worldwide will open later this year and marks Liseberg’s 100th anniversary.
LUNA – which will become the headline attraction in the park’s new for 2022 area Luna Park reaches speeds of up to 42.3 mph, heights of up to 109.9 ft & features a booster wheel lift.
The park’s exciting new family roller coaster will join Luna Park’s other current resident rides – Turbo (a spinning classic car ride) & Tempus (a Zamperla Nebulaz).
Back in January, Liseberg also revealed that LUNA will open to the public on April 22nd (click here for more details).
This ensures that LUNA ‘launches’ to the public (or moon haha) in time for Liseberg’s Centennial anniversary later this Spring!
Overall we feel that the park’s record breaking ride will make the perfect ‘jewel in the crown’ as it were where Luna Park (Liseberg’s NEW steam punk themed family area) is concerned.
