York Dungeon Announce A BRAND NEW Show For Easter 2023!
York Dungeon (click here) – hailed by many as “York’s darkest attraction” have announced the arrival of a BRAND NEW show for Easter 2023.
The new centered names “Peasant’s Revolt” takes those brave enough back in time to York’s infamous Mickelgate Bar & the reign of Anne Boleyn.
In an official description, York Dungeon set the scene for what visitors can expect from their historically significant new show;
“The crown is destroying our monasteries, upping taxes, and now we have the infamous Anne Boleyn on the throne.
You will be amongst those tortured for treason against King Henry VIII…will you find yourself the traitor amongst the masses and face the Halifax Gibbet?”
Believe it or not, we were actually lucky enough to preview York Dungeon’s fantastic new show the other day during our recent visit.
Having done so we can confirm Peasant’s Revolt re-imagines the attraction’s classic execution show and puts an entertaining new twist on the show’s classic script.
Acting quality was also superb and it’s safe to say although brief, Peasant’s Revolt will make a refreshing new addition to York Dungeon over the Easter holidays.
Peasant’s Revolt runs from April 1st – 16th and is included in the price of admission.
We definitely recommend checking it out as it’s great to see York Dungeon keeping things fresh and offering something new for returning visitors.
