Universal Orlando Resort finally confirm an opening date for their highly anticipated Jurassic World VelociCoaster!
Universal Orlando Resort have today (April 06th 2021) confirmed the official proposed opening date for their brand new 2021 addition – Jurassic World VelociCoaster!
The new ride has fastly become one of the most anticipated new rides of 2021 and has captured the hearts and imaginations of fans of the franchise worldwide.
This is due to the incredible themeing, the highly immersive nature of the ride and the overall astonishing attention to detail designers have employed when creating this brand new experience.
Jurassic World VelociCoaster will welcome victims (we mean riders) for the first time on June 10th and has been hailed by the resort as a new breed of roller coaster upon announcing the ride for the first time late last year.
The new experience is set to take those brave enough on a tour of the park’s incredible raptor enclosure bringing them up close and personal with some of Jurassic World’s most infamous residents.
VelociCoaster features two LSM launches, reaches heights of up to and including 155 ft, reaches a top speed of 70 mph and features 4 inversions throughout the ride.
The first half of the ride will take rides through the enclosure itself narrowly missing rocky ravines and plant life whilst the second half will take riders across the front of the Discovery Center and out across the lake.
The ride itself has been manufactured by the world renown ride manufacturers Intamin and makes up just one of many new thrilling additions set to open worldwide this season.
VelociCoaster also features an incredibly extensive lighting package both onboard the ride itself and within the ride area too making for what will very likely be some incredible night rides.
