York Dungeon present their brand new Walking Tours lead by two of the dungeons most infamous rogues!

Warning, alert the city of York! Two of York Dungeon‘s most infamous fiends have escaped and they’re about to wreak havoc on the people of York!

The fiendish Black Jester and that rotten scoundrel Smedley have finally broken free and have took to the sunlit streets of York to bring their own brand of terror to the unsuspecting public.

For the last 4 days the Dungeon have shared teasers in the form of comedic videos featuring the two rogues at various well known locations throughout the city.

These teasers were of course leading up to something much bigger, and at nine o’clock this morning a big reveal took place announcing the brand new York Dungeon Walking Tours.

In a brand new press release sent to us by York Dungeon themselves they reveal exactly what you can expect from this brand new experience;

Starting from Friday 16 th April 2021, tours will be running Friday to Sunday, with a range of start times throughout the day.

Family day trips and city sightseeing have been limited over the past year, yet as the UK prepares to exit lockdown The York Dungeon has the perfect plan for an eerie and exciting day out.

Taking the spooky, yet beloved, York Dungeon family attraction above ground, guests will be taken on a tour of some of the city’s most hair-raising historic locations by two of the Dungeons most or should we say least loved characters.

Packed full of ‘orrible tales of the cities murky history, which are all wrapped up in suspense and surprises, families can discover the real tales of the city which has been labelled as one of the UK’s most haunted.”

In a recent statement the general manager of the York Dungeon Andy Turner said “We are so excited to be able to bring our family favourite dungeon experience out of the shadows and onto the streets of York.”

Above shows the exact location of the attraction and starting point for all walking tours.

This brand new experience is set to commence on Friday 16th of April and will run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 12:00 and 16:30.

All tours will depart from outside the dungeon and will be strictly prebooked admission only.

This therefore means all guests must purchase their tickets in advance through the attractions official website – Click Here.

The cost of admission will be £5.50 for children and £6.50 for adults with all tours being limited to 15 persons per tour inline with current government guidance.

All those aged between 5 – 15 must be accompanied by a paying adult at all times and all tours will of course follow rigid social distancing guidelines to maintain the safety of both guests and actors/actresses throughout the tour.
