Thorpe Park Confirm Start of Loggers Leap Station Demolition!

Thorpe Park have today shared an update over on their official pass holder group confirming the start of demolition on the former Loggers Leap station.

Since closing in 2015 however, the ride’s former station building has seen transformation into the home of Thorpe Park Fright Night’s very own hill billy terrors The Buckwheat family.

Aside from being used for Creek Freak Massacre though Loggers Leap’s station has remained relatively unused and as such the demolition marks the beginning of a new chapter for Old Town as a whole.

Thorpe Park confirmed the landmark in construction by sharing a range of official photos taken today as the building began it’s deconstruction.

Below are two of the photos the park shared.

Once demolition on the station building has concluded we would assume works will start to disassemble the former Canada Creek Railway Station building too, however there’s every chance that could happen before too.

Once works have concluded on the flattening of existing structures the next stage would be to start leveling the site as a whole before pile driving and concreting the new ride’s footers.

We’ll be sure to keep you all up to date as and when things happen, therefore be sure to stay tuned here on TPI to find out even more about what’s going on down at Thorpe Park in the months ahead.
