Plopsaland Belgium Open New Ride To Mark 25 Years!
Plopsaland Belgium (aka. Plopsaland De Panne) have opened a NEW ride to help celebrate their 25th anniversary year!
The popular family theme park based in De Panne, Belgium and also part of a much wider chain run by popular TV studio – Studio 100 has recently welcomed Vic’s Whirlwind, an ART Engineering Wild Swing ride to it’s already popular attractions line up.
Vic’s Whirlwind has been added in the form of an expansion in the park’s much loved cartoon vikings themed land Wickieland which is situated towards the rear of the park.
Describing what to expect from their latest NEW, family friendly flat ride on their official website, Plopsaland Belgium states;
“Hold on tight, because this attraction swings back and forth more and more! Big or small, you will feel like a real viking on this new attraction in Wickieland. Are you already breaking out in a sweat at the thought? Don’t worry, Vic’s Whirlwind does not go over the top and is therefore perfect for families.”
Vic’s Whirlwind is said to be suitable for guests of all ages including children, teenagers and adults and features a height restriction of 1.2 meters with those under 1 meter being able to ride accompanied by a parent or guardian at the parent’s discretion.
In terms of how the ride works the Wild Swing rotates identically to a top spin ride but with flipping those riding a full 360 degrees. This means that the new ride does NOT invert, but it does swing you backwards and forwards quite generously while you go round.

Plopsaland Belgium is also home to other iconic rides and roller coasters such as Heidi The Ride – a GCI wooden roller coaster, Anubis The Ride – a Gerstlauer launch coaster and of course The Ride to Happiness by Tomorrowland – the world’s second MACK Rides Extreme Spinning roller coaster.
